I haven’t seen any posts on this so far. So here is an interesting fact about today.
Today is a palindromic date at least for those who write the date dd mm yyyy or mm dd yyyy. A palindrome is a word or phrase that reads the same forwards and backwards. So February 2, 2020 written 0202 2020 is a palindrome whether you put the day or month first.
Cheers! Please share any word palindromes?

In Finnish we have many palindromes. Here is one:
Saippuakauppias. It means soap merchant.

Wow! That word looks like a mouthful. I was in Finland last year. On a long layover I went into Helsinki and looked around. I hope to go back one day and spend more time.

Thank you. Very nice to know that. If you want experiences, then visit our northernmost part called Lapland. In winter, meeting Santa, reindeer rides, participating in a reindeer race, visiting world’s biggest snow castle and maybe spending a night inside it.
In summer, walking on some of our Arctic hills where reindeers roam free, enjoying nightless nights when sun never sets, cruising on some of our lakes onboard of old steam ships, visiting world’s biggest wooden church. Have you ever been to Sauna? In July 4,2021, there are meeting of mobile Saunas or why not visiting bear carving contest in August. There are many possibilities to explore. I have told about these in my posts with many pictures.
Examples to feed imagination:
North of the Arctic Circle 3
Holy cow, Saunas on wheels1
Bear carving contest1
Welcome!

Great info. I’d like to see Lapland. With the Covid-19 situation in the US, Americans may not be going anywhere for a long time. Feel free to follow my blog.

Oh yes, I read about this in the news. It’s an interesting one, isn’t it? It was the first global palindrome day in 909 years apparently – so pretty special! x

Yes, I believe the last global palindrome date was November 11, 1111.
