Followers may remember this photo of cute lion cubs I posted in April.
I took that picture with my cell phone. Today, rummaging through photos on my computer, I found these photos that I took with my small point-and-shoot camera during the same encounter. I think they are worth sharing, too.

Stunning shots, amazing place! I was in Kruger many years ago, and spent $200 to get 26 rolls of film developed. After that I bought my first digital camera, still in the early days of the technology.

It took me a while to switch to digital too. I really like it now. No developing time or cost and editing is a breeze. The photos in Kruger were all on my cell phone. Kruger is an amazing experience!

Amazing big cats ! Before reading your post, I thought you use a super telephoto camera. But when you said: “I took that picture with my cell phone”…..seriously that is too close and dangerous.

I was in a safari vehicle so there was protection. A lion could get in, however, if it really wanted to. Thanks for the concern.
