The control tower at Abu Dhabi International Airport is the most stylish control tower I’ve come across.
With 20 stories above ground and measuring 109m (358ft) tall, it is the seventh tallest control tower in the world.
Has an airport control tower caught your attention during your travels?
Wow! Thay shape looks interesting. I’m sure engineers and architects had to put in gruesome hours for it to work. Where’s the tallest tower located?

I’ve never paid attention to the control tower – but this one would certainly catch my eye!

This control tower is definitely an eye catcher. It almost seems to be moving – sailing along on the nearby Persian Gulf.

Possibly the most ugly control tower I’ve seen is the one at Vancouver BC International Airport.

I had to look up the YVR control tower. It looks functional though there is not much about it that is appealing as far as looks. There wasn’t much imagination in that design.

Not really to be honest, but this one is «Alien like cool.»

It is a very impressive and striking building. The design is said to reflect the look of a traditional dhow and its sail. I’ve been unable to discover the name of the architect.

Indeed! I wish I knew who the architect is. I found the developer online but so far no info as to who is responsible for the design.
