Very peaceful. I would imagine, the silence coupled with the beautiful scenery will make you forget everything that is happening lately. A perfect way to take a break!

It must be great to see the islands from a glider. I would like so much to try, but unfortunately I have difficulties with heights… It’s strange, if I go on a normal plane I have no problems. I will check out on the link to see how they work exactly. Have a nice week 🙂

Great photo. Please how does a glider operate? Are there propellers or engines? Cos I can’t see any. Sorry, I’m just inquisitive.

Good question. These gliders have no engine but some do. The gliders at Dillingham Airfield are towed into the sky and the updraft from nearby cliffs gives them the lift to climb to altitude. You can get a better idea in this post. Check it out.

I hope you got to visit him. 😃 My sister lived in Honolulu (Eva Beach) for five years when she was based at the Pearl Harbor Medical Facility. It was a great “excuse” for my trips to Hawaii. 😄

I wonder if the pilots ever get the sky and the ocean mixed-up…

They sometimes do. Especially at night. Spatial disorientation is usually fatal. Good question.

I guess that’s where autopilot comes in handy…

Or just paying attention. Most private planes don’t have autopilots.

You probably know more about flying than I do about teaching. Thanks for your comments. 😊

all you have to do for teaching is stay one chapter ahead of the students 🙂
