Like a many pop culture icons, Naomi Campbell shares bits of her life on social media. She posted a video of her activities in the airport in Nice, France and on board a Qatar Airways flight to Doha, Qatar prior to departure. She is a frequent flyer who takes very thorough precautions against Covid-19.
Although she takes onboard Covid-19 precautions to an extreme, I approve of her choice of airlines. She is flying business class on an A350-900. (Qatar A350s do not have first class.) I recognize the seat from a Qatar flight from Philadelphia, PA to Doha. In the video, another passenger asks if Campbell will clean her seat. That takes some nerve, even as a joke.
If she is connecting in Doha, she will have access to the stunning and exclusive Qatar Al Safwa Lounge. Although the Al Safwa Lounge is reserved for Qatar customers flying first class, Qatar has been running a promotion that allows business class passengers to purchase access. That is how I got in for $69.
The price has gone up now, but she would probably pay nothing. The Chairman of Qatar Airways grants complimentary access to A-List celebrities like her.
Cheers!
I actually enjoyed watching this as I have a flight next month. I’m not sure I’ll do as much as she has, but this was entertaining.

I’m glad you enjoyed the fun video of Naomi Campbell. She takes cleanliness onboard to extremes, but I can’t blame her. Stay safe in your travels. I’m guessing you will be on Delta. It is doing a great job with blocking seats and cleaning between flights. Stay safe, and share your experience if you get a chance.

Southwest is doing great too with blocking middle seats and other precautions. Have a wonderful flight!

Interesting to see that Naomi Campbell is sharing her air travel experience, it could convince people to take Covid-19 precautions more seriously. But then, should you always clean the seats even if the aircrafts fumigated?

She certainly takes cleanliness seriously but a little too far in my opinion. But to each their own. With the extraordinary efforts airlines are taking these days, a quick wipe down of places like the tray table, overhead vents, seat controls and armrests should be sufficient.

You may be right about the video. No one is wearing masks in the airport or on the plane. If that was her pre covid routine, I’d love to see what she is doing now. 😄 I have always had wonderful experiences on Qatar. I’ve only flown business class with them because I always use miles for the flights. PHL – DOH was memorable because it was my first flight with Qatar.

It looks like this video is from last year, which would explain the lack of a mask except at the very end. It seems like she was wearing a mask long before COVID-19. I flew on Qatar A350 (not business class0, and it was a nice airline, and the cabin crew was great. Sounds like we took the same route you did – Philly to Doha…

I did find it odd that she wasn’t wearing a mask for most of the time, but her diligence is impressive. I think airports are fascinating places to watch people.

That is strange that she was very casual in the airport but hyper vigilant on the plane. She was not wearing a mask and handling candy and makeup in the shop without gloves. It looked like she even tried on lipstick. People watching is a great airport activity. A lot of times there isn’t much else to do.
