The Florida Keys are a coral cay archipelago located off the southern coast of Florida, forming the southernmost part of the continental United States.

(Update) I should have added that my son and I have driven from Miami, FL to Key West a couple of times. The drive on U.S. Route 1 is 165 miles and takes about four hours at a leisurely pace. Taking your time is worth it to enjoy some of the most spectacular scenery in the United States.
beautiful shot!

I love the aerial shots. One Christmas, I spent the day with my cousin’s family in Chicago. It was below zero. The next day, my cousin, his buddy, and I drove continuously (not the smartest thing, but we were just a bunch of dumb teenagers) to get to Florida. It took about twenty-four hours. I’ll never forget swimming in the Gulf of Mexico—just a couple of days removed from extreme cold.

Three teens driving 24 hours straight – no problem. 😄 What a treat the whole experience must have been.

I’ve never been, but my husband loves Key West. We’ve also been looking into RV spots there! 🕊

One of my favorite places to visit; we have even considered the keys as a possible retirement spot.

The Keys are beautiful and almost like being in another country. It would be an excellent spot for retirement. My son and I have been a couple of times. Even I can catch fish there. 😁
