Would have guessed Asia but wouldn’t have a clue where, I’ll say somewhere in Indonesia which doesn’t really narrow it down much. Good to see you playing along with the challenge though 🙂

Only legible writing is in English (“SKY TOWER”). The plants in the photo seem to have a tropical South East Asian vibe. I see two (maybe three) people, but they’re not in focus. end from what I could tell, they weren’t wearing distinctive clothing. The watercraft vary broadly in size, shape, and purpose. The setting seems to be a river or narrow sea channel, surrounded by mountains that look like they might have been shaped by ancient volcanic activity. It might be in the Ring of Fire, so the Philippines and Indonesia seem like they were really good guesses—but I think it’s in the outskirts of Hong Kong, which is just outside the Ring of Fire. “SKY TOWER” seems too significant a clue to ignore, and much in the photo seems almost cinematically familiar. For that reason, Vietnam seems likely, too.
