One Word Sunday is a blogging challenge hosted by Debbie Smyth at Travel With Intent. This week’s challenge is Empty.
I had a photo in mind but couldn’t find it. Here are others that I think fit the challenge this week.
An empty American Airlines Admirals Club lounge at Boston’s Logan Airport.
An empty corner table at La Terraza de Cojimar in Cojimar, Cuba where Ernest Hemingway downed daiquiris while chatting with locals and fleshing out ideas for The Old Man and The Sea.
A dusty, empty road in Kruger National Park, South Africa.
An empty chair and cubicle for work or relaxation in the Asiana business class lounge Seoul/Incheon International Airport.
Join the One Word Sunday challenge here and have fun.
unfortunately, I guess COVID made it easier to find some empty travel photos…

These photos are very fitting for this challenge. What an eerie feeling to see an airport so empty.

The airport shots were even before the pandemic. One day in the next few months I’ll try another flight.

I should have shown a picture of my upcoming trips screen in the American and Delta apps – zip.

I remember how empty NYC felt at the start of the lockdowns, seems a lot less empty these days
