One Word Sunday is a blogging challenge hosted by Debbie Smyth at Travel With Intent. This week’s challenge is Vertiginous.
First, I had to look it up. Vertiginous (adjective) – causing vertigo, especially by being extremely high or steep. These are five of my photos that relate to this challenge.
Thank you for taking a look. I hope you had a great weekend.
Woah!
The main photo is certainly wonderful, apart from being a bit scary 🙂

I just want a pilot who can get me safely from point a to point b

The good news is you and the pilot definitely share the same interest. I’m not afraid of flying, but crashing scares the hell out of me.

that’s good to know that our interests are aligned… and yes, crashing would scare me as well 🙂

wonderful photos, but I can see how being at such places could cause vertigo

I’m scared of heights. So I can attest to it personally.

I may have mentioned this before, it’s not heights that I am scared of, it is the edge of things. I could be standing on the edge of a four foot drop or a forty foot drop, and I feel the same nervous sensation…

Wow! That’s the first I think I’ve heard of that situation. I think my fear of heights starts at around 30 feet. The sensation definitely increases the higher the potential drop.

I think part of my issue about standing on the edge of something and looking over is worrying that my glasses might fall off, and then I am in big trouble 🙂

Some say phobias get more intense as we get older. I tend to agree.
