This is a photo of an exterior corridor of a temple in the Angor Wat complex near Siem Reap, Cambodia.
I visited the site in 2015. Somehow I never wrote a post about it. This little Monochrome Monday shot may be a forerunner of an upcoming post with other photos of the Angor Wat and Angor Thom sites.
Be well, and thanks for visiting my site.
Very effective in B & W. I also have a back-log of Angkor photos to share one day. There’s so much there that I haven’t been sure where to start!

You’re right. The sites are huge and the history is complicated and unfamiliar to me. It has been 6 years since I was there. Thanks for your comment.

I was there early last year, just before the pandemic halted travel!

Great timing, Sarah! ๐

It was – it meant we squeezed in a trip at the last moment we could, so we haven’t been ‘grounded’ for quite as long as some other people; and it also meant far fewer tourists because the Chinese border was already closed and they make up a large proportion of visitors ๐

My posts will only provide a glimpse of these sites and their history, but I’ll give it a shot one day.

Nice repetitive patterns. No central theme but very good.
