It looks so small for all its famous passenger accomplished.

I read that Darwin sent some of his discoveries back by other means. If I’d built the replica, I would have been very tempted to add floppy ears.😄

An opportunity lost. You could build your own with LEGO. The designs for the HMS Beagle are almost certainly floating around on the WWW somewhere. You’d probably have to sculpt your own floppy ears though.

A Lego full scale Beagle would be one hell of a project. I bet someone could do it.

Not I, sir. I might accept a commission, if I was an experienced LEGO sculptor. However, that would not be the project on which I would choose to cut my teeth. I love architecture modeling projects that experiment with natural light and shadow though. I need to invest in some LEGO design software to up my game.

I have no Lego game, sorry to say. I would definitely need the software for even a miniature Lego house. John

We all have to start somewhere. Not that I’m saying you have to start . . . anywhere. You ever think about how boring life would be if we all did the same stuff? It seems we enrich each other’s lives by doing our own thing, and then sharing graciously whenever possible. And John, you have mastered that gift. I think I’ve written this before, but I think it bears repeating that I am always grateful whenever I get to peek your shoulder and share in your experience. So, thank you.

Great find of a wonderful replica. So tiny compared to todays ocean going ships.

Hard to believe it sailed around the world. Thanks for sharing a comment! John
