What a great portrait of that mountain!

Thanks. Most is hidden, but the summit looks interesting and a little menacing.

Looks breathtakingly beautiful.

It is beautiful. I like the contrast of desert like terrain near the railway and the snow covered peak that seems to be so close.

It looks like an alien mountain on a distant world.

The mountain looked like it was from another world compared to the landscapes around the railway.

If I remember, you hiked to Machu Picchu and probably had good views of Mount Chicon.

Yes I did hike to Machu Picchu, but when I arrived up there ( after 5 days of trekking, I did the Salkantay) I was soooooo exhausted when I arrived up to Machu Picchu, that I did not get much out of it. Next time I will take the bus up. So unfortunately I did not see the Mount Chicon. And please do not ask what did you see😅😂😊

Much appreciated! The view creates kind of an optical illusion.

Very vivid contrasts in this photo. Even though the mountain is miles away, it looks like the snow could almost come down on your head.

I would have thought it was much closer…
