Debbie Smith’s One Word Sunday Challenge is “flat.”
Here are two photos of the “flat as a pool table” terrain of Kansas and Colorado taken from a flight to Denver, Colorado from Charlotte, North Carolina.
You can see Debbie’s photo and others submitted for this challenge here.
Thanks for stopping by for a look. I hope you had a great Sunday!

Flat can be interesting if there is enough of it

This was once called the Great American Desert.

This featureless area certainly produces a heck of a lot of food now.

I’m sure that flat terrain will change dramatically once you approach Denver!

Surprisingly, it is like that all the way to Denver and even a little west of Denver. The Rockies are an abrupt change from this look.

Years ago I drove to Denver from Indianapolis. Its like 600 miles of flat from Kansas City on. Even boring can be impressive.
