Delphi, the ancient religious sanctuary dedicated to the Greek god Apollo, was home to the Oracle of Delphi, the priestess Pythia. She was known throughout the ancient world for accurately predicting the future and was consulted before major undertakings.
Magnificent!

Delphi is such a beautiful, peaceful place. We visited in Jan 2020 and had the whole site to ourselves, though it was cold!

I’m glad you got to go before everything shutdown. Wouldn’t it have been cool to see this site in its glory days!? 😃

In part, the key was to never give a straight answer. If the desired result didn’t happen, it was because the oracle was misinterpreted. 😄👌

It would be interesting to know what your extensive global travels have taught you about our world and its peoples. Has your travels changed you in any way?

Excellent question Rosaliene! Travel has shown me that people are basically the same everywhere in spite of differences in geography, religion, politics, and culture and that money and material things are nice to have but are definitely not required for or guaranteed to lead to happiness and a fulfilling life. I do feel changed somewhat. I’m not sure if its travel or just aging. 😊

I’m not a world traveler as you are. I share my life experiences of living in Guyana, Brazil, and the USA on my blog.
