The accordion has long been derided within popular music circles, but has been redeemed after being used in a number of critically “world music” tunes, also some noteworthy efforts from the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and others.
A family member of mine got an accordian and never played it. I think that’s one of the great tragedies in life — to be given the gift of music and to turn away one’s face and nose from it as if it was something smelly. Ah well.

An accordion, any instrument, is a gift that gives back if one puts in the effort. I used to play clarinet. Now I just play the radio. 😄
