I like the surreal doubling-over effect of having the man-sized statue over the giant head. It seems to send a psychological or philosophical message or effect of sorts.

This is an impressive entrance. My first thought about it was that it is an appropriate entryway into a tomb where one leaves their money behind. 🙂

The Sphinx, The Pyramids, and temples are high on my bucket list. However Egypt is one of the most dangerous nations for LGBT travelers, so I’ll have to stick to videos and books about the ancient wonders for the time being. Yes. retirement is pleasant but the time passes so fast. Thank you for mentioning it. 🙂
