Here in North Carolina on December 24 temperatures dropped to 10 degrees Fahrenheit (-12 degrees Celsius). That was close to our record low for the date. The power grid was severely stressed and blackouts swept the state. My personal wish for Christmas is that the power stays on at least long enough to prepare and enjoy Christmas dinner and watch a few basketball games on TV.

Have you had any issues with people not being able to subscribe by email? WP has not been able to figure out why sometimes a person who tries to subscribe to my blog is never sent the confirmation email and therefore never actually subscribes. Frustrating . . .

Happy holidays! I hope the power stays on for you! I have never experienced that before because I live in sunny Southern California, but I can only imagine the hassle that it can create!

(Belated) Merry Christmas John to you and yours! We just returned from an amazing camping holiday on the West Coast (with temperatures close to 30 degrees Celsius, i.e. 86 Fahrenheit) 🌞 … a typical summer in sunny South Africa!
