Arriving at the Four Points by Sheraton Boston Logan Airport in Revere, Massachusetts two weeks ago, I felt like I’d entered a time warp.
When I got off the elevator on my floor, I was startled to see this sign.
Marriott acquired Starwood Hotels and its associated brands, including Four Points, in September 2016. Starwood Preferred Guest was rolled into the new Marriott Bonvoy program and ceased to exist in December 2018 — nearly six years ago.
As you could imagine, this hotel was in need of a thorough makeover. Its decor was out of date even as of the time of the Marriott merger.
Nevertheless, the retro decor and signage brought back good memories of my favorite hotel chain and loyalty program
Do you remember Starwood hotel brands and the SPG program?
I love your articles, especially this one. I also appreciate your likes of my posts. As for airline videos, I love watching them. I have had a great love for the non-birds that soar through the air, as they take off, fly enroute, and land.

🤣The elevator must have functioned like a Star Trek transporter.

The signage man/woman probably missed this floor! It reminds me of towns and cities here in SA that have undergone name changes, but on many of the signs along the road the old names still appear. Easy to change a name, but it can make a big dent in a budget (especially if you don’t have the money)!

This hotel must not have the money because the decor appeared to be unchanged since the last time I was there in 2008, and it looked old even then. Thanks much for taking the time to read and comment.

If you are gonna take over, you gotta make over. Some hotels fail to see the quality slipping. Happy Thursday John. Allan

Don’t folks from the corporate office ever inspect these hotels? Have a great weekend!
