You see them in my city all the time now. I don’t know when they made their first appearance but I don’t think it was that long ago … that and the single-wheel thing. The thing with pedals you stand upon and you lean forward and back to accelerate and decelerate. The scooter seems more popular than the single-wheel thing. Probably because it feels less dangerous.

Those scooters are popular here with the younger generations in touristy urban areas. I had to look up the single wheel thing. That looks positively suicidal. 😄 I’ve never ridden an “old fashioned” Segway personal transportation device and would like to try one of those at some point. Thanks for your comment and the tip about single wheel scooters.

I didn’t know that such scooters have headlights. These must be deluxe.
